Apparently some dude Mark Sawyer has caught this funky mutation/hybrid recently. It does look like overgrown fish from an aquarium…
Finally, getting my newest rod tomorrow. The funkiest looking rod AND feels godlike. Edge 3776 Spin 10” 10-40gr.
The handle is formed as a rifle, I guess now is the time to kill some fish.
Garfish is not happy at all, trying to bite something… At one point it found it’s own tail as a subject to bite.
Bristleworms (SV: borstmask). Some nasty looking worm, getting a hook into it will trigger an outburst of biting with those 2 long and ugly teeth. It does not hurt much but it does feel very uncomfortable…
Yet, this is the most appreciate bait for flounder, trout, small cod…
Not the most appealing angle :) slightly deformed if you ask me, yet as good as it gets with flounders.
Yesterday was a good day! I did some, actually a lot of fishing. The day started off onboard of Vandia ship at Helsingborg harbour at 7.30. Fishing flounders gave 46 fishes (some are on the picture). At noon the skipper went close to Danish shore where the fishing went fairly dead. Once we got back at around 3PM, i made a quick stop at home and went to West harbour to enjoy further the first real summer day. Some bottom fishing produced 14 more flounders. Once evening started to become a reality, I retackled for herring and mackerel. Few herrings and no mackerels finished my day.
Going home at dusk was surreal, I was feeling drunk off so much fresh air and my body was pleasantly tired from all the fishing exercizing.
Good day indeed!
Test of newest rod with newest reel could have gone better. Record in smallest cod is mine now!
The rod is Fenwick Ironfeather Momentum 11” 16-54 with Shimano Stella 5000SW reel. Line is Spiderwire Code Red 0.25. (The reel is good for 260 meters 0.25 line)
What the hell is it?
Hopefully this is not a common thingy, imagine getting that while fishing…
